BLACK CONVERSATIONS
Tired of Brands and agencies putting out black and white marching images of the Civil Rights movement. Tired of black people’s need for safety being a political statement. I created a copy about what it feels to be Black, in the sacred space of the group chat.
Initiating the project with ad friends I pitched the idea of using the “group chat” as a means of humanizing the black experience during a time of political and social tension.
I wrote copy inspired by real life topics within the group messages that I was a part of.
We rolled out the social posts to many people commenting on the authenticity of the black experience.
